Polish cultural anthropologist, publisher, writer. She works on the anthropology of modernity (especially the problems of popular audiovisual culture) and forms of contemporary religious imagination. She runs the Black Publishing House. She is president of the Krzywa Village Development Association, which takes care of children from former state farms in the Low Beskids. She is a two-time finalist for the Nike Literary Award: in 2017 for her book The Pepper Counterfeiters and in 2020 for The Empty Forest.
