Neuroscientists have a range of techniques at their disposal to track brain activity and even manipulate it on demand. Increasingly detailed brain maps are also emerging. The discussion will feature researchers studying the seemingly very different brains of humans and fruit flies. What are the nature of these differences? Do only large brains allow for complex behavior? And why do we need to study the insect brain in such detail to understand the human brain?
