Paweł Dydio is a University Assistant Professor at the University of Cambridge and an affiliated professor at the University of Strasbourg. He leads a research group working on catalysis and reaction design, with a focus on how fundamental understanding can be used to develop new and useful chemical transformations.
Since launching his independent career in 2016, he has built an internationally recognised research programme at the interface of mechanism, synthesis, and innovation. His work has resulted in publications in leading journals, including Science, Nature, Nature Catalysis, Nature Chemistry, JACS, and Angewandte Chemie, as well as patent applications and collaborations with industry.
He is the recipient of an ERC Starting Grant and several other competitive awards. He is actively involved in mentoring, teaching, and the evaluation of research and funding applications, and regularly contributes to academic and funding review panels.
