Joanna Odrowąż-Sypniewska is a Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Warsaw. Her main research area is the philosophy of language. She is currently working on issues related to assertion, commitment, deniability, and lying. She has been the recipient of several grants, some of which are ongoing, including the Fulbright Senior Advanced Visiting Scholar award, OPUS (NCN – National Science Centre), and Bekker (NAWA – Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange). She serves as President of the Committee of Philosophical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences and as the Faculty’s representative in the Philosophy of Language and Mind Network. She is also a member of the ERC Peer Review Panel (StG SH5).
