Proportional Participatory Budgeting

Professor Piotr Skowron uses the tools of mathematics, computer science, and economics to solve social and political problems. One of these is participatory budgeting and the equitable distribution of funds. In this lecture, he will demonstrate why current vote-counting methods are flawed, and how to mathematically define fairness and design a voting system that is both efficient and fair.
