The pandemic has confined us to our homes, and even after the pandemic subsides, we are leaving less and less often to interact with others. We often replace face-to-face encounters with technology. Professor Magda Śmieja, a researcher of close relationships, and Professor Łukasz Okruszek, who specializes in the psychological aspects of loneliness, will consider whether we are facing a crisis in close relationships and whether—and what—we are at risk of a loneliness epidemic.
