He hold PhD in physics, professor of computer science, head of the Computer Systems Group at the Department of Computer Science at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, involved in many international projects such as IST CrossGrid, PaaSage FP7 and VirtROLL EU, member of the CERN WLCG Collaboration Board, Interdepartmental Committee of Technical Sciences of the PAU, Section of Computational Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences, among others. He specializes in large-scale computing, multiprocessor architecture, high availability and Grid/Cloud storage systems.
