Dominika Dudek

He is Head of the Department of Psychiatry and Department of Adult Psychiatry at CMUJ and a member of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology. Since June 2022, she has served as President of the Polish Psychiatric Association. Professor Dudek also chairs the Bioethics Committee of the Jagiellonian University, is Editor-in-Chief of the journal Psychiatria Polska and Chair of the Editorial Committee of the PTP Publishing House. In addition, she is a member of the Social Council of the Józef Babinski Hospital in Krakow. Prof. Dudek is the author and co-author of several hundred scientific publications and numerous publications popularizing the issues of psychiatry and mental health, which highlights her contribution to the development and popularization of this field in Poland. She was also named one of the 100 most influential people in Polish medicine by the Pulse of Medicine list. Her scientific and professional achievements have been recognized by many prestigious awards. In 1998, she received the award of the Minister of Health for outstanding scientific achievements in psychiatry. In 2001, she was awarded the W. Moczulski Prize of the Polish Psychiatric Society for the best doctoral dissertation . In 2013, she was honored with the team award of the Rector of the Medical University of Wroclaw for important and creative achievements in scientific work. In 2022, she received the Award of the City of Cracow “Meritorious for Cracow” in the field of “Science and Technology”, and in 2023 she became one of the winners of the Kazimiera Bujwidowa Award.
