Primatologist and professor at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland, Malgorzata Arlet has been conducting field research for more than 15 years, in which she has been learning about the bonds and customs among various species of monkeys – including gray mangabeys, lowland gorillas, Campbell’s monkeys, Japanese macaques and cap macaques. We’ll talk to her about the challenges of observing monkeys in the wild, as well as whether life in a monkey herd always looks the same – and to what extent the monkey’s mundane life resembles ours
