The creator of one of the first neural networks – the Boltzmann machine – Prof Terry Sejnowski changed the way we think about machine learning. His research is at the root of modern breakthroughs in AI, including language models such as ChatGPT. In his lecture, he will take us on a journey into neuroinformatics, explaining what ‘deep learning’ really is – and whether a machine can truly understand the world.
