Writer, philosopher, translator, researcher affiliated with the Franz Kafka University of Muri. For several years he worked on James Joyce’s “Ulysses” (book “The Labyrinth and the Tree”, 2005, and guidebook “Dublin with Ulysses”, 2008), then published two volumes of his own prose: “Boarding House” (2009) and “Bird Streets” (2013), as well as collections of essays “Transfixed Reality” (2015) and “Attraps of Creation” (2020). He writes, translates, deals with the philosophy of Judaism and the Jewish theme in literature. He has translated Lawrence Kushner’s “Book of Letters,” David Roskies’ essays, Amos Oz and Fania Oz-Salzberger’s essays “Jews and Words,” and Shmuel Yosef Agnon’s short stories, among others. He is a frequent lecturer, photographer and editor and typesetter of his own and others’ books. From 2000 to 2019, he was editor-in-chief of the Midrash magazine.
