Antonio Damasio

A professor of neuroscience, psychology and philosophy at the University of Southern California, he is a fellow at the Jo­nas Salk, Institute for Biological Research. Member of many prestigious scientific bodies. He has written several bestselling books, in Poland published (by Rebis publishing house): “Descartes’ Error”, “In Search of Spinoza”, “The Mystery of Consciousness”, “How the Mind Gained the Self”. He directs the Brain and Creativity Institute at the University of Southern California, which conducts, among other things research on music perception, human and machine consciousness, and the neurophysiology of meditation.
