Dominik Kaim is a geographer with a postdoctoral degree and a researcher at the Institute of Geography and Spatial Management at the Jagiellonian University. He studies land use changes, their causes, and consequences, particularly in Central Europe. His research utilizes a variety of data, from archival ground-based photographs and military maps to the latest satellite data. He also works as a geographer „after hours,” examining maps, walking in the forest, or exploring the less touristy corners of the cities he visits.
