Marcin Molenda, (PhD, DSc, prof. UJ) \u2013 Head of the Materials and Nanomaterials Technology Team, university professor at the Faculty of Chemistry, Jagiellonian University in Krakow. Member of the Jagiellonian University Climate Council for the 2021-2024 and 2024-2028 terms. President of the Council of the Electrochemical Energy Storage Consortium “PolStorEn.” Co-founder (2014) and President of the Management Board of MarCelLi Adv Tech Sp. z o.o. \u2013 a technology startup established to commercialize material technologies for safe and sustainable lithium-ion batteries developed at the Jagiellonian University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He specializes in the design, synthesis, characterization, and technology of advanced functional materials, nanomaterials, and (nano)composites (including synthetic and natural polymers) for sustainable energy storage and conversion, particularly in lithium-ion and sodium-ion (Li-ion, Na-ion) battery technology and catalytic removal of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). He is the co-author of 147 original scientific papers (h-index = 28, 2120 citations), 39 granted patents (foreign and domestic), and 2 patent applications.
